One-click automation:
Simply drag and drop PDF files into Imp to get RIP-ready layouts. Imp will automatically choose the optimum signature, sheet size, press, work style and give you fully imposed layouts. The imposition results are accurate and based on the users inventory and equipment.

All-in-one Package:
Imp can handle a wide variety of jobs ranging from commercial book jobs, all flat and folded jobs, special binding methods, packaging cartons and labels. IMP supports both sheet fed and web offset printing. In addition Online printers can use IMP to improve their productivity by using the powerful ganging engine to produce efficient layouts in seconds.

Ganging:
IMP derives its core ganging capabilities from an advanced sheet metal nesting algorithm used in the fabrication industry that can generate unparallel efficiency while ganging jobs. Besides packing optimum job(s) on a sheet, IMP takes into account properties of the job that other ganging engines do not handle – paper type, number of colors, special coating, available press sizes, cutting sequence and number of copies are all tracked while calculating the optimal result. Multiple results are offered to the user to select the preferred option.

Imp Interface
The IMP user interface has been designed to minimize the learning curve. A novice operator can easily pick up the software with minimal training. Drag & drop features and 3D visualization of folding templates makes the software intuitive and easy to use. IMP is loaded with several context sensitive warnings that continuously check the integral design of the job being produced. This helps catch expensive errors early and provides intelligent suggestions to fix the error. PDF images can directly be scaled and over-layed on to the imposed layout.

Industry standard
Use of Adobe's PDF Library to render and output files: Imp uses the same core of Adobe's® Acrobat® to generate the PDF layouts. JDF certification: Imp is certified against the JDF 1.3 Layout Creator to Imposition ICS (LayCrImp).

Impose @ the Planning department
In IMP planning and imposition is no longer done in separate departments. The moment you add a plan, imposition is done. Imp cleverly positions the PDF pages and allows flexible editing. You can also plan a job with a placeholder and replace it with PDF file(s). Imp automatically positions the pages correctly.
What is more, Imp's mark imposing system is also made automatic! The one click automation that Imp provides will also add all the marks as per your environment to your layout.

Intelligent Learning with IMP (I-Learn)
What if you want a small change to the automation that Imp provides as your jobs follow a special practice – for example placing the first page towards the gripper?
